Trail Riding

A different way to experience the picturesque Huon Valley

We cater for both beginner and experienced riders. Safety is of the utmost importance to us, so we will walk next to children (beginners) and also next to some adults who are nervous on their first horse ride. For the experienced rider, we can go as fast as you are capable of, or as slow as you wish.

Conny and Benny will take you through the true Tasmanian bush, in the hills surrounding Judbury, with some stunning views along the way.

Prices

Our most common rides:

1 and half hour ride, includes a light picnic - $100

2 hour ride, includes a light picnic - $115

Half a day (four hours) includes a picnic & light lunch - $190

(some riding experience needed)

For children's rides we offer:

Half hour pony ride - $40

1 hour pony ride - $55

*All prices are per person and are subject to change

Conny's Horse Philosophy

For me, the most important thing is to have a great relationship with my horse, which is based on trust and respect (something any good relationship should have) and to listen and observe each other!

How I treat my horses is how they treat me in return.

We practice our own version of Natural Horsemanship, we just use bit-less bridles and rope halters. Patience, calmness, repetition and mutual understanding are just some aspects of a good relationship to your horse.

Natural Horsemanship is based on how horses treat each other in a herd in the wild.

I don't want to break their will! I want to make friends, I want the horse to be my partner - so we work well together as a team! This is not done by intimidation.

True natural horsemanship is incredible to watch!

"I speak for my horses, and my horses speak for me."

- Conny

They are gentle, kind and willing.
